KD FUSION 2014 - Sunday 19th July 2014
#KD Fusion 14 saw some of our longest running students reaching the end of their training at Kobika! I had the privilege of seeing them all the way through secondary school and now wish them the very best of luck at university! These students will always be a part of the Kobika family and you can find out how they are getting on here.
The standard of dance and cheerleading up to KD Fusion 14 was phenomenal and I was blown away during rehearsals by the talent we have at Kobika. I can’t believe how all the cast managed to fit the show in on top of school exams, dance exams, performances and competitions!
So much happened in the two years between KD Fusion '12 and '14; our first ballet session saw the students gain 17 merits and 17 distinctions - an outstanding achievement; our senior dance company had the privilege of performing at The Place in London and also in Nottingham as part of the U.Dance ‘14 Fringe organised by Youth Dance England; the Starlites came away from their first ever National cheerleading competition with amazing results!!
I honestly can’t begin to express how much I love my job, I feel so lucky to be able to work with such determined, talented youngsters to have such a passion for cheer and dance. I know my teaching staff feel exactly the same and myself and all the students were so sad that we had say goodbye to some of them at this show. Eileih, Laura and Charli challenged and inspired so many of the Kobika students and I honestly believe these teachers have made a lifelong imprint in some of their hearts which I am truly thankful for.
I loved KD Fusion 2014 and am so grateful for all the support from all our parents and incredible students!
